is intended for people who are required to use and change an abrasive wheel in
the work-place. It will give delegates a certificate that complies with current
legislation.
Full day is intended for people who are required to use, change and balance an abrasive wheel in the work-place on all types of equipment, It will give delegates a certificate that complies with current legislation.
Course Objectives
- Learn safety aspects of abrasive wheel use Full day consists of additional aspects of dressing and balancing wheels
Course Content
- Check and inspect spindle and wheel speeds
- Check and select suitable wheels
- Carefully mount wheels
- Understand purpose and types of guard
- Understand machine controls
- Have an appreciation of related safety (ie the protection of eyes, noise and control regulations)
- Be appointed onto the Company Register
The half day course will cover hand, bench grinders
Full day consists of additional aspects of
dressing, balancing wheels of machine shop grinders subject to customer
requirements and any practical element is best covered on customers premises
