The half day workshop is designed for all employees whose work involves manual handling, whether in the office or production environment.
The full day workshop is designed for all managers or supervisor's whose work involves overseeing manual handling, whether in the office or production environment.
Course Objectives
To create an awareness of the risks involved with manual handling and obtain the knowledge and practice of correct manual handling procedures in order to:- Work safely Assist compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 Assist compliance with the manual handling operations regulations 1992 revised 2002

- Discussions of participants job activities/roles
- Introduction of Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 revised 2002
- Manual Handling accident statistics
- Causes of fatigue, strain, injury
- Practical movement session
- Manual/kinetic handling - explanation and discussion of the basis principles and movements
- Further practical sessions
- Application of kinetics in your job
- Action for the future
