Safety Training - Safe use of Saw Benches & Woodworking Machinery
Course Details - Course Overview - Half or Full Day
Half day course is intended for people who are required to use and
change saw blades and planer cutters in the work-place. It will give delegates a
certificate that complies with current legislation.
Course Objectives
Learn safety aspects of saws and planer cutter blades use Full day consists of additional aspects for those that supervise or manage work equipment.
Course Content
- Check and inspect spindles
- Carefully mount blades and cutters
- Setting of riving knife
- Understand purpose and types of guard
- Understand machine controls
- Have an appreciation of related safety (ie the protection of eyes, noise and control regulations)
- Be appointed onto the Company Register
Full day consists
of additional aspects of safety for those supervising or managing the use of
work equipment
